Costco Just Announced Deals On These 3 EVs

Everybody loves a good deal, which is why, these days, it seems like everybody loves Costco. It's hard to find another brand so universally praised. It not only brought us the $1.50 hot dog and soda combo; it also brought us the Rizzler and Big Justice. I find the experience of shopping at the big-box store exhausting, but I can't deny the deals. The $1,000 I saved on my Chevy Blazer EV in 2024 with the Costco Auto Program justified my next 15 years of membership.

Now, there are more EV deals to go around.

The Costco Auto Program announced a new set of incentives this week, including deals on gas Chevy trucks, the new Chevy Traverse, and a few Infiniti crossovers. But a gas car, in 2026? C'mon, this is InsideEVs. We're electron-pilled in these parts, and Costco is giving us what we want. Members get special incentives on three new EVs: The Chevy Silverado EV, the Polestar 3, and the Polestar 4.

The Polestar 3 is getting a huge upgrade for 2026, including a new 800-volt architecture. Sadly, the Costco deal only applies to the old 2025 model.

Executive members get a flat $1,250 off the purchase price at participating dealers as part of the national program. Peasants like me with a lowly and inappropriately named "Gold" membership still get $1,000 off, but already that difference justifies upgrading your membership. At $130 a year for executive versus $65 a year for Gold, you'll instantly save $185, and still get the other main benefit of Executive membership, 2% back on eligible purchases. I'm guessing this upgrade math is part of the whole point: they want you to get the premium offering.

Note, too, that this isn't the only automotive cash on the table at your local Costco. This is part of a national program, but Costco also partners with local dealerships to provide pre-negotiated deals. These deals typically include any national incentives, which means you may be able to get more off of a Chevy Silverado EV, Polestar 3, or Polestar 4.

The catch is that all three EVs have some major "buts" attached. The Silverado EV is a long-range towing champ with plenty of power and space, but it's also massive, and far more expensive than a gas version, even factoring in this incentive. It's also not as good off-road as a gas truck.

The Polestar 3 is lovely to drive and to look at, but the first model year was plagued with bugs and software issues, and we don't know if that's all been fixed yet. Plus, I find the lack of physical controls to be a big frustration. The Polestar 3 is also getting a huge upgrade for 2026, including a new 800-volt architecture, but sadly this deal only applies to 2025 models.

2026 Polestar 4

The Polestar 4 is great to look at and drive, but you'll have to accept its weird window-less rear end, relying solely on a camera for rear visibility.

Our dearly departed editor-in-chief Patrick George loved the Polestar 4, but it's a weird-shaped car with no rear window. He'd still recommend it, but relying on a camera to see out the back may be a dealbreaker for some. Point is, all of these have some asterisks.

But that's generally how incentives work. Companies layer them on when demand isn't quite matching supply, which means your best bet for a good deal is often a new car that's been less-than-adored by critics. That's how I ended up with my own Costco deal: After high-profile software issues and in the midst of lower-than-expected demand, Chevy was basically giving away Blazer EVs.

I don't think we're quite there on the Silverado EV, Polestar 3, or Polestar 4. As of this week, though, we're closer than before. The savings are available until April 30, so there's no big rush. But if you want to take advantage, I'd start getting quotes from local dealers soon. Time always favors the buyer.
